Phil has written for the theatre as well as being a filmmaker and award winning audiobook producer and publisher. He has written four crime novels, two novellas, and various short stories as P D Viner. He has been published by both the biggest, and one of the smallest publishers in the UK. For the past eight years he has worked as a writing mentor and plotting consultant.
Araminta enjoyed a successful career in journalism before turning to writing her first novel 'Everything and Nothing' in 2011. It was picked up as a Richard and Judy read that year. She had similar successes with 'Our Kind of Cruelty' and 'Imperfect Women'. 'One Of The Good Guys' is due out early in 2024.
Kate Harrison is the bestselling author of more than 20 novels and non-fiction books, under her own name and the pseudonyms Kate Helm and Eva Carter. Her most recent novels are 'How to Save a Life' and 'Owner of a Lonely Heart' as Eva Carter. Kate uses her experience in TV news and documentaries to teach writers how to develop ideas and create brilliant pitches.
Simon learned how to craft hooks while writing for TV. He hosted the real-life crime series 'Written in Blood' and is the author of 8 hugely successful novels. Starting with the Sanctus Trilogy, and then followed up by three novels with his loner hero Solomon Creed. 'Dark Objects' was just released in paperback and his latest, 'The Clearing' came out in July 2023.
Laura has published six novels as well as many short stories for magazines and anthologies. 'Crossing the Line' was a Welsh Books Council book of the month and 'Skin Deep', received a Not the Booker longlisting.
Over the past eleven years she’s worked as a creative writing tutor for organisations including New Writing South, the Creative Writing Programme and West Dean College where she teaches on the Creative Writing & Publishing MA, and as a structural editor and mentor for leading literary consultancies, coaching writers to competition short listings and publication.
