Writing for the Screen

This course is designed for anyone who wants to either write original screenplays, or adapt existing work (novels, plays etc). Though we will be developing our script writing skills, the emphasis of this course is in creating pitch decks and TV bibles. These are the documents that writers create to stimulate interest in their ideas and to find the creative talent (agents, producers, actors) to collaborate with.

Throughout this process we will meet TV and film writers, screen agents, writer/directors and producers. At the end of the course, we will pitch to production companies with live slates and be looking for financing. At the end of last year’s course three of the screenwriters had their projects taken to Cannes and one of those films has been greenlit for production.
